Acceptance of Terms
Welcome to the Regina Malayalee Association Inc. (“RMA”, “we”, “us”, or “our”). RMA is a non-profit organization formed to enrich and preserve the cultural values of people from Kerala, India, settled in Southern Saskatchewan.
By accessing or using our website at www.reginama.org, registering as a member, attending our events, or participating in any of our programs, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. Please read them carefully before proceeding.
If you do not agree to these Terms of Use, please discontinue use of our website and services. Continued use of our website or participation in RMA activities constitutes acceptance of these terms.
Use of Our Website
Our website is provided for informational and community engagement purposes. You agree to use the website only for lawful purposes and in a manner that does not infringe the rights of others.
You agree NOT to:
- Use the website in any way that violates applicable local, provincial, national, or international laws or regulations
- Transmit unsolicited or unauthorized advertising, promotional material, spam, or any other form of solicitation
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the website, server, or database
- Introduce viruses, trojans, worms, or other malicious or technologically harmful material
- Reproduce, duplicate, copy, or resell any part of our website in violation of our intellectual property rights
- Collect or harvest personal data of other users from the website without their explicit consent
RMA reserves the right to restrict or terminate access to the website for any user who violates these terms, without prior notice.
Membership
Membership in RMA is open to individuals and families of Malayalee origin or those who share an interest in Kerala’s culture and community. By registering as a member, you agree to the following:
Accurate Information
You will provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and keep your details up to date.
Membership Fees
Membership fees, where applicable, are non-refundable once processed unless there is an error in billing. Fee amounts are determined annually by the RMA Executive Committee.
Member Conduct
Members are expected to uphold the values and reputation of RMA, treat fellow members with respect, and abide by decisions made by the Executive Committee and General Body.
Termination of Membership
RMA reserves the right to suspend or terminate membership of any individual who violates these terms, engages in misconduct, or acts in a manner contrary to the interests and values of the organization. Members may also voluntarily resign at any time by notifying the Secretary in writing.
Events & Programs
RMA organizes cultural events, sports tournaments, educational programs, and community gatherings throughout the year including Spring Festival, Onam, Christmas celebrations, Noopura Dance Academy performances, and more. By registering for or attending any RMA event or program, you agree to the following:
- Ticket & Registration Fees: Event fees and program registration costs are non-refundable unless the event is cancelled by RMA. Transfers may be permitted at RMA’s discretion.
- Event Changes: RMA reserves the right to modify, postpone, or cancel any event due to unforeseen circumstances including but not limited to weather, venue issues, or insufficient registrations. Notice will be provided as promptly as possible.
- Photography Consent: Events may be photographed or recorded for community documentation and promotional purposes. Attendees consent to appearing in such media by attending. See our Privacy Policy for how such images are used.
- Children’s Programs: Parents and guardians are responsible for the safety and behaviour of children enrolled in or attending RMA programs. Emergency contact information provided at registration must be accurate and up to date.
- Assumption of Risk: Participants in sports activities (badminton, cricket, etc.) participate at their own risk. RMA is not responsible for injuries sustained during sporting events unless caused by proven negligence on RMA’s part.
Content & Intellectual Property
All content published on the RMA website — including text, photographs, event graphics, logos, social media posts, videos, and design elements — is the property of Regina Malayalee Association Inc. or its respective contributors, and is protected by applicable copyright and intellectual property laws.
Permitted
- ✓Sharing RMA social media posts with proper credit
- ✓Printing content for personal, non-commercial use
- ✓Linking to RMA website pages from other websites
Not Permitted
- ✗Reproducing RMA content for commercial purposes
- ✗Using the RMA logo or name without written permission
- ✗Modifying or creating derivative works from RMA content

Code of Conduct
RMA is a welcoming, inclusive community that celebrates Kerala’s culture and brings together families in Regina. All members, volunteers, event attendees, and guests are expected to:
- Treat all individuals with dignity, courtesy, and respect regardless of age, gender, religion, or background
- Refrain from any form of harassment, bullying, discrimination, or disruptive behaviour at RMA events or in RMA communications
- Avoid making statements or taking actions that could damage the reputation or integrity of RMA
- Respect the decisions and authority of the RMA Executive Committee and General Body in accordance with the organization’s bylaws
- Follow venue rules and local laws during all RMA-organized events and activities
Violations of the Code of Conduct may result in removal from events, suspension, or termination of membership at the discretion of the RMA Executive Committee.
Donations
Donations to RMA are used exclusively to fund community programs, cultural events, and operational expenses of the organization. By making a donation, you acknowledge the following:
- All donations are voluntary and non-refundable once processed
- Donations are processed securely through third-party payment platforms. RMA does not store your payment card details
- A receipt will be issued for all donations upon request, which may be used for personal tax purposes as permitted by Canadian law
- RMA is a registered non-profit in Saskatchewan. Please consult a tax professional regarding the deductibility of donations
Limitation of Liability
RMA provides its website and services on an “as is” and “as available” basis. While we make every effort to ensure accuracy and availability, we make no warranties, express or implied, regarding:
- The completeness, accuracy, or timeliness of website content
- Uninterrupted or error-free operation of the website
- Freedom from viruses or other harmful components from third-party links
To the fullest extent permitted by law, RMA, its Executive Committee, directors, volunteers, and representatives shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of our website, attendance at events, or participation in programs.
Links to external websites (including social media platforms, Google Calendar, and payment processors) are provided for convenience only. RMA is not responsible for the content, accuracy, or privacy practices of external sites.
Governing Law
These Terms of Use are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of Saskatchewan and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein.
Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of RMA’s services shall first be attempted to be resolved through good-faith discussion with the RMA Executive Committee. If unresolved, disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Saskatchewan.
Changes to These Terms
RMA reserves the right to revise these Terms of Use at any time. Updated terms will be posted on this page with a revised “Last Updated” date. It is your responsibility to review these terms periodically. Your continued use of the website or participation in RMA activities following any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms.
